Costs and joining

What will it cost?

The total cost to take your Advanced Driving Test is £85. This includes the test fee, membership of the local group, the How to Pass your Advanced Driving Test book and a number of observed sessions with the local group.

The cost of the course is increasing to £99 with effect from 1^st February 2008

There are usually eight sessions in order to assist the Associate Member to reach the proficiency required to pass the Advanced Driving Test.

How do I join?

There are two ways you can join the Institute of Advanced Motorists:

• join the local group directly by telephoning 07017 422989 and arranging an appropriate date.
• contact the head office in London, where you will purchase a voucher for presentation to the local group of your choice.
